The most heart-rending gaming disappointments of...
I’ve blogged (or tumbl’d) about a number of the games on this list over the past two years, so it was interesting to see how poorly they’ve fared in the minds of at least one gaming columnist. In particular, I’ve written about my high hopes for the Playstation Home online service and Spore. Oh well.

Apple Announces Its Last Year at Macworld →
Trade shows typically provide low bang for buck, so this isn’t that surprising. Plus, Apple’s been moving toward events it can schedule anytime (pre-holiday, back-to-school, etc.) and anyplace (Yerba Buena, Apple Town Hall, etc.) But no more keynotes? That’s paving the way for the post-Jobs era.

Going to look into some of these. Bernstein was a remarkable man, and an early influence on me with his “Young People’s Concerts” on television.
